represent RIME repeats covering either the end (filled diamonds) or the beginning
(filled triangle) of the established sequence. The two palindromic structures of RIME1
are shaded in gray. Internal inverted repeats are shown in matching colors. Gaps (marked
with red hyphens) and single-nucleotide deletions (inverted red triangles) were introduced
for optimal alignment. Base mismatches are colored in red. Arrows mark clones that
