*Class I and Class II specify independent homology groups (analogs). Chorismate mutases are shown in bold. In view of the closely related tertiary structures of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae chorismate mutase and the E. coli AroQ domain of AroQPheA [9], the placement of AroR within class I is consistent with the suggestion of MacBeath et al. [8].
