Confirmation of macroarray results by RT-PCR and northern blotting. The percentage
of signal modulation (PCR amplification signal or hybridization signal) in relation
to control cells (without C2-ceramide treatment) has been calculated in each condition to compare the expression
of each gene in neuronally differentiated PC12 cells with (black boxes) or without
(white boxes) C2-ceramide treatment. The PCR amplification signal and the hybridization signal for
the positive controls (HPRT and 18S rRNA genes, respectively) are indicated.
