Comparison between fast-evolving copies and slow-evolving copies. The figure shows
that fast-evolving copies have more cases with substitutions distributed evenly along
the sequence than slow-evolving copies. Fast-evolving: the copy that has evolved faster
than the other in each duplicate pair. Slow-evolving: the copy that has evolved slower
than the other in each duplicate pair. Even pattern: a sequence that has evenly-distributed
substitutions along the sequence. Uneven pattern: a sequence that has unevenly-distributed
substitutions.
