Phylogenetic tree. Shown is a phylogenetic tree of wild boars and domestic pigs from
Asia and Europe based on 50 (near) complete mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences. The
tree was constructed by the neighbor-joining method with an Africa warthog as the
outgroup. The numbers indicated at the nodes were bootstrap supports based on 1,000
replicates. East Asian domestic pigs and wild boars were marked by filled circles
and open circles, respectively.
