Subtelomeric regions correspond to the set of query sequences enumerated in Additional data file 1 and the average percent identity across the sequences to which each is aligned. The non-subtelomeric regions correspond to the aligned sequences that fall outside the subtelomere regions (the subset listed in Additional data file 2).
