The correlation between genes and bias metrics is non-randomly distributed according
to mean gene intensity. For each probe set in the breast cancer data set, we calculated
the mean intensity (across all 98 samples) and the correlation with a bias metric
(also across all 98 samples). The values for all 12,625 probe sets were summarized
as two-dimensional histograms for each of the four bias metrics: (a) PM IQR; (b) RMA IQR; (c) PM median; and (d) degradation.
