Resolution: standard / high Figure 1.
ADMIXTURE analysis (K = 2 to 8) for ancestry estimation of the Ashkenazi Jewish (AJ)
and three neighboring populations. Three neighboring populations - Europeans (EU), Middle Easterners (ME), and Central/South
Asians (CSA) - were derived from the HGDP. Each individual is represented by a thin
vertical line, which is partitioned into K colored segments that represent the individual's
estimated membership fractions in K clusters. Black lines separate major population
groups based on geography. Geographical population groups and their respective N's
are labeled below the figure. Specific ethnic subgroups are labeled above the figure:
Europeans (B = Basque; F = French; S = Sardinian, T = Tuscan, I = Italian, O = Orcadian,
A = Adygei, R = Russian); Middle Easterners (M = Mozabite, D = Druze, P = Palestinian,
BD = Bedouin); and Central/South Asians (U = Uygur, BL = Balochi, BR = Brahui, BU
= Burusho, H = Hazara, MK = Makrani, PT = Pathan, SI = Sindhi).
