2012 special issue: "Epigenomics" – submission deadline extended
Dear Colleague,
Genome Biology would like to announce an extension to the submission deadline for our special issue on epigenomics, planned for publication in late summer 2012. The new submission deadline is May 31st. We are also delighted to announce that Dr Alexander Meissner, of the Broad Institute and Harvard University, is the issue's Guest Editor.
Following on from our highly successful special issue on exome sequencing in 2011, we are turning our |
 |
| focus toward epigenomics for 2012’s special issue. Recent research has increasingly shed light on the many enigmas of genome regulation stored in the epigenome, and we believe that a special issue on this topic in 2012 will make a timely contribution to the genomics field. |
| |
| We will consider Research, Method or Software manuscripts describing insights into or developing methods for studying the many aspects of epigenomics, including methylomes (and hydroxymethylomes), histone modifications, nucleosome positioning, higher order chromatin structure and genome-interacting non-coding RNAs. We are particularly interested in manuscripts exploring disease, development and variation with respect to epigenomics, or describing innovative new methods or software tools likely to be of broad utility. Manuscripts will be welcome irrespective of the organism(s) or cell type(s) studied. A series of commissioned, topical reviews and opinions, written by leaders in the field, will also be published in the special issue. |
To submit your manuscript, please use our online submission system and indicate in your covering letter that you would like the article to be considered for the epigenomics special issue.
If you would like to enquire about the suitability of a study for consideration, please email a presubmission enquiry to editorial@genomebiology.com.
With best wishes,
Alexander Meissner, Special Issue Guest Editor Naomi Attar Special Issues Editor
