         <p>The broad-ranging Asthma and Allergy Gene Database covers many aspects of asthma and allergy genetics, including linkage data, gene expression data and gene therapy trials. The database also contains details of asthma- and allergy-related information from studies in mouse. The information held is derived from all published full-length articles on these topics in the current literature. Registered users can enter and annotate data online.</p>

            <p>Navigation</p>
         </st>
         <p>First-time users must register to use the site - this is free. Once you have logged on, you are faced with a selection of links to choose from, including Central, FAQ, Expression, Mouse and Patents. The Central link brings the user to a drop-down search interface where several options are available, including chromosome, linkage, mutation and statistical <it>p</it> value. Having selected your search parameters from these options, the search is run and any matching mutation, polymorphism or linkage data sets contained within the database are displayed either as a table or graphically. Each data set is cross-referenced and linked to several useful features, including the study it was derived from and the available <a href="http://bioinfo.weizmann.ac.il/cards/">GeneCards</a> at <a href="http://gdbwww.gdb.org/">The Genome Database</a>, (GDB). Most of the other links take the user to lists of references of relevant papers. This is a useful feature for those researchers wishing to look for specific papers (for example, mouse studies, reviews or ethics).</p>
